The Operating System for One

My CRM is a text file.
And I've never worked better.

The exact system I use to run a company with text files and AI agents. Newsletter, courses, consulting, community. Every folder, every file, every agent instruction. Nothing hidden.

The problem

You don't need more software.
You need a system.

You're paying for 11 subscriptions. You have a project management tool you barely use, a CRM you never update, a note-taking app with 2,000 orphan notes, and a growing sense that none of it talks to each other.

You are not disorganized. You are over-tooled and under-systematized.

Nobody taught you how to build an operating system for one person.

I run a newsletter (15,000+ subscribers), a podcast (60+ episodes), a course platform, a consulting practice, and a live bootcamp. My CRM is a markdown file. My planning docs are text files. My total monthly tool spend is under €300.

"Tuesday morning. 6:47 AM. Email triaged, CRM updated, meeting prep done. Four minutes. No dashboard. No app. One agent, one folder system, one text file."

This course shows you exactly how I built it. Not the theory. The actual system. Every folder, every file, every agent instruction, every workflow.

The method

21 lessons. 5 modules.
One operating system.

Folder structure. Text files. Agent. Verification. No SaaS required.

Module 1 · Primer 00
Why text files beat SaaS

The Philosophy

Post-SaaS thinking. What portability actually means. The cost of lock-in. Why the document is the AI OS layer. Not the model. Not the platform. The document.

3 lessons
Module 2 · Layer 1 01
The foundation

The Folder System

One folder. Every file has a home. The exact tree I use. Naming conventions. Version control. The structure everything else builds on.

4 lessons
Module 3 · Layer 2 02
Plain text, agent-ready

The Text File OS

CRM in markdown. Planning docs that agents can read. SOPs as instructions. The CLAUDE.md file. Templates for every operational document you need.

5 lessons
Module 4 · Layer 3 03
Make it intelligent

The AI Layer

How to give an AI agent your folder system as context. Agent instructions that work. The €99/month stack that replaces €500 in subscriptions. Verification stays in the loop, because the agent is only as good as the system it reads.

5 lessons
Module 5 04
Run it daily

The Daily Operating Rhythm

Tuesday morning walkthrough. Email triage. CRM update. Meeting prep. Content pipeline. The 4-minute demo. Capstone: build your own one-person AI company stack from scratch.

4 lessons + capstone
The system, exposed

One folder. Every file has a home.

The actual tree I use to run a newsletter, courses, consulting, and a community. Nothing hidden, nothing proprietary.

No coding required. If you can edit a text file, you can build this.

The proof · Tuesday morning

4 minutes. Not 4 hours. 6:47 AM. I open my terminal. The agent reads my CRM (a text file), my calendar, and my email. It triages the inbox, updates the CRM with new contacts, and drafts meeting prep for the 9 AM call. No Salesforce. No Notion. No project management tool with 47 views nobody uses. One folder. Plain text files. One AI agent that reads them.

"The best operating system is the one you actually use. Mine fits in a folder."
Honestly

This is for you if:

You run a solo business or freelance practice and feel buried by tools
You want a system, not another subscription
You're curious about the "text files plus agents" approach and want a working example
You manage multiple projects and need one operating system that holds it all
You've tried Notion, Airtable, Monday, Asana and none of them stuck

Don't take this if:

You want to build AI agents for enterprise teams. See the Engineering Series.
You love your current project management stack and it works. Keep it.
You want prompting tips. The system is the point, not the prompt.

FAQ

Before you ask.

The questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, email [email protected].

Is this anti-SaaS, or just less SaaS?
Less SaaS, deliberately. The course is built around the operating system CM actually uses (text files + AI agents + a few essential subscriptions). It's not maximalism for its own sake — it's keeping ownership of your data and removing the SaaS reflex.
Will I see CM's actual folder structure?
Yes. The course includes the real folder hierarchy CM uses to run Cohorte (newsletter, courses, consulting, community), down to the individual files and agent instructions. Nothing hidden. Module 3 is a walkthrough.
Do I need to be technical to set this up?
No coding required. Folders, markdown files, and AI agents (Claude Code or similar). If you can write a document and copy-paste a prompt, you have what you need.
Does it work for a team of 3–5 people, or only solo?
Both, but optimized for solo and very small teams (≤5). The folder system and AI agent instructions scale to a small team. For 10+ people, you'll need a different layer on top (the AI OS Course covers that).
Which AI tools does this use?
Claude (Pro or API), Claude Code or Cursor for the agent layer, a markdown editor, and the file system. Total tool cost: roughly €20–60/month depending on usage.
How long to set up the system?
The lessons take 6–8 hours. The first usable version of your system is 1–2 weeks. The full migration off SaaS into the text-file OS is a quarter, done at your pace.
Can my company pay for this?
Yes if you're a freelancer or operator inside a company who'll apply the system to your role. Invoices issued. Email [email protected] subject 'Reimbursement.'
What's the refund policy?
€297 courses are non-refundable. Above this price, we offer a 14-day conditional refund — but this course sits exactly at €297, so it is final. The course is priced so the decision is real.
