What is The Engine Room and what do members actually get?

How much does membership cost?
€29 per month or €249 per year (save 28%). Course buyers get 3 months included with any course. Bootcamp alumni get 12 months included in tuition. Payment via Stripe. Cancel any time from your member portal, no dark patterns.
How do I join? Is it open enrollment?
Membership is reviewed, not open. Submit an invitation request at /community/apply describing what you ship, who you ship it for, and one thing you have changed your mind about in the last year. We reply within 7 days. Cohorte bootcamp alumni are auto-admitted via their alumni link.
What happens each week in the community?
Bi-weekly: AMA with CM (15 to 30 minutes live). Monthly: Build Teardown (CM unpacks one shipped AI system, 60 minutes). Monthly: Operator Briefing (a named operator walks one shipped system, 90 minutes). Always-on: Helpdesk, with structured answers within 48 hours and a 12-month searchable archive. Monthly: one Premium Question answered within 5 business days. Quarterly: 1:1 member matching pairs.
Who is NOT allowed in The Engine Room?
No crypto pivots, no growth-hackers, no ChatGPT-wrapper founders, no recruiters, no DM pitches, no hot takes. The room is defined by what it refuses. One warning, then removal. Full code of conduct at /code-of-conduct.
What happens if I cancel? Do I lose access to the archive?
If you cancel, access ends at the end of your billing period. You keep any Free Starter Courses you have already claimed (those are yours, lifetime). You lose access to the Helpdesk archive, the session recordings, and future live events. We do not remove your past Helpdesk answers from view for other members.
Is this synchronous or asynchronous? Do I have to be on live calls?
Mostly async. The live events (bi-weekly AMA, monthly Teardown, monthly Briefing) are recorded and added to the 12-month archive within 24 hours. You can be a full member, get the full value, and never attend a single live session: just read the Helpdesk and watch recordings. Most members attend live for at least the monthly Teardown because Q&A in the room is sharper than recorded.
Which platform is this on? Slack, Discord, Circle?
Circle.so. We picked it over Slack and Discord because the Helpdesk archive needs to stay searchable for 12 months, and Slack's history limits would gut that. Access via app or web. SSO supported. The bootcamp alumni community lives on the same platform, so alumni see one unified space.
